Despite the name, this wide nation (the greatest of the Africa after Sudan and Algeria: almost 8 times bigger than Italy), ex Belgian Congo and ex Zaire, it has been flagellated by bloody wars, coups d'état, bands armed, by thousands of killings and from almost one million of hopeless refugees. The population lives in unbelievably disastrous economic conditions, and yet the Democratic Republic of Congo is a rich nation, with damp hot climate and extremely fertile soils and mineral huge resources, above all made of copper, but also of cobalt, silver, zinc, coal, uranium, diamonds, gold and petroleum.
