It is a narrow nation, lengthened in direction north-south, to a large extent along the western shores of the great Lake Malawi (ex lake Niassa), toward which the hilly territory softly degrades.
It is a poor country, also following up the long dictatorship of Kamuzu Banda, that has maintained the authoritarian regime up to the 1993; however the country have good infrastructure and is well organized.
Lake Malawi, nearly a sea about clearness of water and dimension, is one of most beautiful on Earth.
Amazing and fascinating landscape are on Zomba Plateaux and on Mount Mulanje slopes, where are present the biggest tea plantations of the country.
People live of corn, tobacco, the, cotton and fishing, whose products represent a fundamental resource for the local feeding. The capital is Lilongwe, but the greatest city is the industrial center of Blantyre.
