It is the only Grand Duchy of Europe, occupies 2.500 Kmq of softly mountainous territory on the Ardennes among Belgium, Germany and France.
It is one of the states founders of the European Community; it has per capita income more elevated to the world and it occupies the 4° place in the classification of the world economic competitiveness. Over the 30% of the population is of foreign origin because of the strong migration flows. The capital is a beautiful city, with spectacular valleys and with numerous bridges that cross them; but the most beautiful center is undoubtedly the country of Vianden, with a cluster of houses to the feet of a spectacular castle.
