Archipelago of the ocean Pacific to the height of the equator, constituted by various groups of islands, among which the Gilbert and the islands of the Phoenix and the greatest atoll in the Pacific: Kirimati (the island of the Christmas), that alone occupies almost halves the surface of the whole state. They are only little known to level tourist, but beautiful, with pleasant equatorial climate. They primarily live of fishing with abundance of tuna.
