Poor state of central Asia, independent from 1991 following the dismemberment of the ex Soviet Union, constituted from ample steppes to north to the border with the Kazakistan and from great mountains to the center and the south up to the Chinese border, where you can enter through the Torugart Pass to almost 4.000 meters altitude.
It is a little inhabited state (less than 5 million inhabitants on a great territory) with scarce attractions and modest resources. But the mountain landscapes toward the Lake Issyk Kul and the chain of the Alatau, with great engraved valleys, flocks of horses to the wild state and cordial and colored nomadic populations are very fascinating.
