It is the nation of the great forests and the thousands of lakes (40.000); it is more extended of Italy but it has only 5 million inhabitants (density of 15 people for Kmq).
It is the kingdom of the nature, where waters mix them to the woods, where in winter the hours of light are few, the snow is so much and the cold is prickly, but where in summer the days seem to never end and over the arctic polar circle the light doesn't disappear for about two consecutive months.
Few over Rovaniemi, on the Napapiri (the polar circle), there is the village of Santa Claus and more to north toward the great Lake Inari we are in the country of the sami people and the reindeers, where possible is still to find the people with the classical red, blue and yellow customs of the Saamis.
